This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a coveted role within a well-run, ambitious organisation at the forefront of tech trading.

About the Company

Founded less than a decade ago, this ambitious tech trading business has grown to a few hundred employees and continues to expand. They utilise proprietary technology to bring liquidity to complex markets.

Located in the heart of London, their office is easily commutable, fostering a collaborative environment where tech and trading teams share ideas (and sometimes a pint!).

Supporting and investing in people are two core values of the company, alongside cultivating a culture of action and curiosity.

About the Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling business questions, providing technical support (in-person and remote) for key infrastructure-related services, and collaborating with other teams as needed.
  • Reducing risks, improving SLAs, and supporting continuous improvements to the tech infrastructure.
  • Providing advanced support for cloud infrastructures like Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Intune.
  • Acting as a Tier 3 escalation point, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Managing projects involving migrations, implementations, and infrastructure relocations.
  • Performing root cause analyses and implementing long-term solutions for technical challenges.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation, including system architecture diagrams and SOPs.
  • Collaborating with the Security Lead to implement best practices for security platforms.
  • Managing relationships with external network service providers to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Conducting system maintenance tasks, including patching, version upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.

Technical Skills and Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows Server, Windows 10/11).
  • Strong administration experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms.
  • Expertise in virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (IPv4, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and SSL/TLS certificate management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills with a proactive, creative problem-solving approach.
  • Process improvement mindset to optimise workflows and enhance efficiency.

Desirable Skills

  • Scripting and Automation: Experience with VBA or Python for automation.
  • AWS Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AWS platforms like EC2, S3, and RDS.
  • Linux/Unix Knowledge: Practical experience with Linux/Unix systems and tools.
  • Financial Services Experience: Previous exposure to trade floor support or financial services is highly advantageous.
