New Job: Senior Golang Developer – Real-Time Crypto Market Data
Location: London (Hyrbid)
Salary: £120,000 – £135,000
Contract: Permanent

Orbis is partnering with one of the most respected names in crypto media, data, and events. This is a rare opportunity to work at the crossroads of journalism, real-time market data, and crypto infrastructure—within an organisation that values editorial independence and technical excellence.

As a Senior Golang Developer, you’ll join a growing engineering team building high-throughput, low-latency systems that deliver trusted crypto market insights to a global audience.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement highly scalable data services with a focus on reliability and speed

  • Build and maintain performant APIs for ingesting, processing, and delivering data

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infra, and data teams to optimise architecture

  • Uphold engineering best practices through code reviews, testing, and documentation

  • Integrate third-party APIs and bring new data sources into the platform

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience building high-scale, reliable systems in Go (Golang)

  • Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and both relational/non-relational DBs

  • Confidence working with testing frameworks across unit, integration, and E2E layers

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex systems clearly

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with websocket APIs, Redis streams, or messaging queues

  • Background in numerical computing, finance, or crypto

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

This isn’t just a backend role—it’s a chance to influence how the world interacts with and understands digital assets. If you’re excited about real-time systems, crypto, and building tools that matter, we’d love to hear from you.
