About the Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Vacancy:

  • As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (mwd), you will actively shape their Cloud Operations business area: you will use your specialist knowledge in customer projects to make them cloud-ready, ensure stable operation and continuously improve them.
  • You advise and support in all phases of their cloud migration and cloud operations projects, including pre-sales situations, design concepts for distributed cloud applications and implementation of application architectures. This also includes the selection of tools and methods, the modeling of cloud-native processes and customer-specific cloud operations models.
  • You will provide technical guidance to your colleagues and the company’s customers in order to successfully complete projects “on time and on budget”.
  • Using your specialist knowledge, you will design their internal training and further education program on the subject of cloud operations and train colleagues in the areas of platform engineering, cloud and operations.

Ideal Requirements for the Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Vacancy:

  • Several years of experience in cloud projects with a focus on operational topics such as platform engineering, DevOps and the cloud in general
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as CI/CD, GitOps and Incident Response Management
  • Knowledge of the lifecycle challenges of a cloud-based, distributed software application
  • At least good scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Python) and following the “everything-as-code” approach to infrastructure, configuration and documentation
  • Ideally, good knowledge of a high-level (compiled) language and the automation of a developer toolchain to create deployment artifacts
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring and alerting (e.g. ELK stack, Prometheus, Azure Monitoring) as well as in-depth experience with container technologies, ideally through the use of Kubernetes in a productive environment
  • Strengths in communication and advice as well as the ability to analyze complex technical issues and explain them clearly to non-technical people
  • Strong interest in technological topics, following the DevOps philosophy and the lifelong learning concept for personal and professional growth
  • Interest and ability to share knowledge and promote the professional growth of colleagues
