A well-respected Swiss Insurance company are seeking an IT Audit Manager to join their company to help with the planning, implementation and reporting of IT audits at the national and international levels, in accordance with IIA and ISACA standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Audit Manager who has the relevant experience to take that next step into a challenging position with a world-renowned Swiss Organisation.

About the IT Audit Manager Vacancy:

You will be responsible for:

  • The planning, implementation and reporting of IT audits at national and international level, in accordance with IIA and ISACA standards, including travel of approx. 10%.
  • Particular emphasis is placed on the technical depth of the audits in order to be able to discuss with IT technicians on an equal footing and to understand complex technical challenges.
  • Advanced system testing and in-depth investigations in the areas of IT governance and process analysis with a focus on application controls and cybersecurity.
  • Active identification and assessment of technical weak points and potential for improvement in IT risk management and risk control, including the development of technically sound, sustainable solution approaches.
  • Creation of audit reports tailored to the target group and the follow-up of audit recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, particularly within the IT department, to act as a competent technical advisor and contribute significantly to the annual risk assessment.
  • Use and further development of data analytics (e.g. data extraction, visualization, process mining, ML) in risk assessment and audit implementation.

Ideal Requirements for the IT Audit Manager Vacancy:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a personality with:

  • University degree in computer science with a sound technical background, complemented by relevant certifications (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP).
  • At least 4 years of experience in technically demanding positions within IT audit, IT security or a related field, with proven success in tackling complex technical challenges and the ability to perform both pure IT audits and integrated IT and business audits.
  • Strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of system and application security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), cybersecurity, and the current IT threat landscape as well as knowledge of modern technology environments such as cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure), software as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, DevOps practices.
  • A strong profile in social skills, professional appearance and team spirit, supported by the ability to communicate complex technical content clearly and understandably.
  • A high level of commitment, a proactive attitude and the willingness to continuously expand technical knowledge and take part in business trips.
  • Very good language skills in German and English in order to be able to precisely create technical documentation and reports and lead discussions.
