Senior Python Engineer

Financial Markets – Up to £150,000 + bonus
Client: Financial Markets Specialist
Techstack: Python, Golang, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL + more
Working policy: 5 days p/w in London HQ, amazing offices by Liverpool Street!
Package: Up to £150,000 + annual bonus

Orbis is partnered with one of the UK’s most successful financial markets specialists as the business looks to strengthen its Backend Engineering division! Our client is completely self-funded and is seen as one of the ‘big players’ within the commodities trading space.

In this role, you will build and develop business-critical features for complex trading platforms while dealing directly with stakeholders. Alongside these responsibilities, you will be expected to play a key part in the technical decision-making and project roadmapping for the wider business.

Requirements

  • BSc degree or higher in a STEM-related subject from a reputable university
  • Expertise in Python development with strong exposure/hands-on experience with Cloud-related tools i.e. AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
  • experience with Golang would be a huge bonus (but not a necessity)
  • Clear track record of building or making a large impact on complex financial/trading platforms

Bonus

  • Any experience with Go would be a huge bonus!
