Principal Software Engineer – Global Investment/Asset Manager

£180,000 plus package

OFS is partnered with a major Investment Management fund that currently has almost $1.5 trillion in assets under management.

This is an opportunity to be a part of their continued growth whilst having a significant impact on the technical direction within the business.

You’ll operate as a hands-on engineer whilst occasionally leading teams on large, complex projects.

You’ll also:

• Create firm-wide technical direction and contribute to the formalisation of strategic decisions
• Deliver holistic solutions to difficult technical challenges
• Provide technology leadership

Core Tech Stack:

Java | Python | AWS

What you’ll need:

• 10+ years of experience in a software engineering role
• High-level expertise in Java
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of different development styles (OO, Functional etc.)
• Strong coding skills across various languages and frameworks
• Deep understanding of automated testing
• Proficient in designing complex database schema
• Knowledge of AWS and/or other cloud providers
• Prior experience working in financial services, ideally within a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, etc.
• Be present in the London office at least 2 days per week

Base salary: £150,000 – £180,000 depending on experience
