The Role:

As the Head of Level for a key degree apprenticeship programme, you will play a pivotal role in managing the academic and apprenticeship delivery of the programme, working closely with the Programme Lead and university partners. You will ensure the programme meets both academic standards and apprenticeship requirements, driving excellent learner outcomes and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day academic delivery of the programme, ensuring a high-quality learner experience.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for academic queries and managing relationships with university counterparts.
  • Monitoring student progression and implementing support mechanisms where necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with both university and apprenticeship quality assurance processes.
  • Teaching modules and supporting the broader academic team where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Significant experience in higher education, particularly in lecturing or programme management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of degree apprenticeships and the wider apprenticeship market.
  • Experience working within a university or education provider, managing academic delivery and ensuring high standards.
  • A postgraduate degree, ideally with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or HEA accreditation).
  • Highly organised, confident communicator with excellent problem-solving abilities.
