Founding-level Mobile Engineer Opportunity at a Mission-Driven Chicago-based Startup

Orbis is partnered with a well-funded early stage startup tackling mental health and social isolation.

Their founders have multiple successful exits and are building something special.

As the sole front-end developer you will have considerable ownership of the development of their mobile platform.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile or web development
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • Previous experience in VC-backed startups
  • Open to working onsite in Chicago
  • Plus: Passion for mental health

You will own major parts of the client-side of our web and mobile applications:

  • Build user-facing apps using React and React Native
  • Strike a balance between functional and aesthetic design
  • Take ownership of critical UIs that are crucial to improving the user experience
  • New feature development
  • Collaborate closely with Founders and 2 other developers
