Role Overview:

As a (Senior) AWS Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in building scalable and secure AI and data platforms on AWS. Your duties will include:

  • Cloud Architecture: Designing and implementing robust AWS cloud infrastructures optimized for AI and data analytics.
  • Technical Leadership: Guiding teams on the optimal use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, EMR, Lambda, Glue, and more.
  • Migration Expertise: Leading the migration of IT analytics systems to AWS, ensuring full compliance with security standards like GDPR.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using AWS CDK and automating deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Driving knowledge-sharing and mentoring within the team to foster a collaborative, innovative environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Education: A degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Several years as an AWS Solution Architect or a similar cloud role, with hands-on experience in building AI and data platforms.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Spark, Python, Kubernetes, SageMaker, and MLflow. Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture best practices.
  • Language: Fluency in German (C1 level) is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication abilities, especially in conveying complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
