Derivatives Operations Valuations Lead

Our client are looking for a Derivatives Operations Valuations Lead to join our team and drive enhancements across systems, processes, and technology.

This is a high-visibility role where you’ll work closely with ALM, Investments, Finance, and Risk teams to lead valuation analysis, resolve disputes, and support new product onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analysis into OTC derivative valuations from internal and external sources, identify discrepancies, and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with counterparties using CSAs, trade confirmations, and market conventions to resolve collateral and valuation disputes.
• Review and act on reconciliation output from TriOptima, ensuring clear documentation of known issues.
• Engage with the valuation committee to assess tolerances and support curve construction feedback.
• Partner with onboarding teams to test new derivatives products across internal and external platforms.

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience working closely with investment teams in banking, asset management, insurance, or hedge funds.
• Deep SME-level knowledge of derivatives valuation methodologies and dispute resolution practices.
• Strong technical grasp of derivatives, collateral management, and supporting technologies (e.g., TriOptima, Aladdin, Murex).
• Knowledge of regulations such as EMIR, SFTR, Solvency II, and familiarity with derivatives documentation (ISDAs, CSAs, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organisation, and influencing skills.
