Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)

💰 $170K–$210K + equity

I’m working with a category-defining marketplace in the hospitality space that’s scaling fast and already operating at serious volume (millions of users, hundreds of millions in revenue generated).

They’re now hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead a full web rewrite of their highest-traffic user journeys.

This is a Senior role with clear Staff-level scope — ideal for someone who wants ownership and influence without waiting years for the title.

What you’ll own

  • Leading the rebuild of key surfaces (search + booking flows)
  • Driving improvements across performance, SEO, and conversion
  • Defining frontend architecture and reusable patterns in Next.js
  • Partnering closely with product/design on large initiatives
  • Raising the bar through code quality, standards, and mentorship
  • Improving developer experience (testing, tooling, observability)

Tech

Next.js • React • TypeScript • Tailwind

Playwright • Datadog

Backend: Rails / Node / AWS

What they’re looking for

  • 5+ years building production web applications
  • Strong React + Next.js experience (SSR / modern architecture)
  • Experience leading large-scale rewrites or migrations
  • Strong product sense (performance, UX, conversion)
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact projects
