REF:

Senior DevSecOps Engineer | Fintech x Social Impact

Remote (U.S. only) | Up to ~$190K (flex) + significant equity

I’m working with a fast-growing, mission-led fintech helping tackle one of the biggest financial challenges in the U.S. – student debt. Their platform has already helped users save over $1.8 billion in repayments, and they’re backed by top-tier investors like QED, General Catalyst, and Greycroft.

They partner with major orgs (think: public institutions, employers, and unions) to offer their solution at scale – combining strong B2B revenue with direct social impact.

Now they’re looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead security efforts across their SaaS platform and internal systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own infrastructure and cloud security across AWS, Heroku, Netlify, Snowflake, and more
  • Design and implement secure architecture and tooling across a modern stack (Node, React, Python)
  • Lead threat detection, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and policy implementation
  • Contribute to SOC 2 compliance efforts and risk assessments across third-party integrations
  • Work closely with engineering and execs to embed security best practices across the org

You might be a fit if you…

Have 5+ years in security engineering or DevSecOps roles

Know how to scale security in fast-paced, cloud-native environments

Can write and review secure code in Node/React/Python

Understand modern cloud architectures and IAM policies inside out

Have experience with SOC 2 or similar frameworks

Why Join

  • Mission-driven company with real user impact – not just another SaaS tool
  • Small, fast team where your input actually shapes direction
  • Fully remote, U.S. based
  • Strong comp, equity, 401(k) match, student loan support
  • Backed by some of the best VCs in fintech
