Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake Cortex – Investment Management

Orbis are partnering with a global Investment Management firm building out their Data and AI capabilities. As part of this exciting new development, they’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with Snowflake Cortex experience.

This is an incredible opportunity to work with one of the most technically progressive firms in the Investment Management industry as they continue a journey to modernise their technology estate, fully maximising the benefit of AI.

In this role, you will:

• Build and optimise scalable data pipelines and models on Snowflake, leveraging Cortex for advanced analytics, AI/ML use cases and data enrichment.
• Integrate vendor platforms and third-party data sources into the firm’s evolving architecture, ensuring clean, reliable and well-governed data flows.
• Support the transition from proprietary systems to a hybrid vendor-led ecosystem, designing robust data frameworks, improving data quality, and enabling downstream analytics and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on commercial experience with Snowflake Cortex, Python and Data Engineering in a Microsoft Azure-based environment
• Excellent ETL experience managing the full end-to-end process from Data Ingestion through to Data Publishing
