Senior Data Engineer – Asset Management, Investment Accounting, or Insurance Data

Immediate Start | Remote (UK)

We are urgently seeking a Senior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in asset management, investment accounting, or insurance data. This is a must-have requirement. Candidates must be currently working in one of these domains. You will work on large-scale financial datasets, building end-to-end data pipelines and delivering actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud data warehouses and ETL pipelines (BigQuery/GCP, DBT, Databricks)
• Automate and integrate multiple financial data sources for portfolio valuations or insurance data processing
• Build dashboards and reports to translate complex financial data into insights
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and governance across datasets

Must-Have Experience:

• Currently working in asset management, investment accounting, or insurance data
• Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL skills for building scalable data solutions
• Experience with GCP (BigQuery), DBT, and Databricks
• Prior delivery of projects in investment operations, portfolio management, or insurance/financial data

Details:

• Rate: DOE, Outside IR35
• Location: Fully remote (UK-based)
• Duration: 6-month rolling contract, with potential extensions
