Senior Business Analyst (Spanish Speaking)

📍 Madrid, Spain (Hybrid) | First 3 months onsite in Madrid – remote after

⏳ 6-month contract (initially) | 💰 Rate DOE

We’re supporting a Global Transaction Banking (GTB) programme looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience across digital channels, international payments, and corporate cash management.

This is a strategic, high-impact role working across Tier-1 banks, multinational corporates, and internal product & IT teams, helping design and deliver mission-critical payment integration solutions aligned to ISO 20022, CBPR+ and global payment frameworks.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

• Acting as Senior BA across payment transformation and integration projects
• Driving functional analysis across API, H2H (Host-to-Host), SFTP connectivity models
• Working with ISO 20022 (pain.001, pain.002, pain.008, camt.052/053/054), MT101, MT199, SEPA
• Defining & executing UAT, overseeing defect triage and resolution
• Translating business requirements into functional specs, user stories & process models
• Leading workshops with senior stakeholders and external partners
• Collaborating with Architecture, Payments Ops, Compliance & IT teams
• Mentoring junior analysts and representing BA in steering committees

✅ What we’re looking for

• 7+ years in Financial Services
• 4+ years focused on international payments, cash management or treasury systems
• Strong hands-on experience with ISO 20022, CBPR+, MT messages & SEPA
• Experience with API and Host-to-Host integration models
• Knowledge of PSD2, TARGET2, T2S
• Experience working in Agile environments (JIRA, Confluence)
• Fluent English & Spanish (both required )

• Oracle / relational database knowledge
• Certifications: CBAP, SAFe, PMP, ITIL, SWIFT
