Our client, a forward thinking, inclusive social engagement platform is looking to grow their high performing engineering team to support a growing product line focused on the revenue generation of their platform Part of a newly formed squad, you will play a key role as a Senior Backend Engineer with significant growth opportunities across the company.

Key focus of the role:

• You will be part of the team working closely with those responsible for building the elements of the platform that are responsible for driving revenue. It will be your responsibility to design systems that are safe, compliant and can build at scale to support what continues to be significant growth of the global user base.

• As a Senior Backend Engineer you will part of an experienced groups of technologists responsible for driving high levels of engineering excellence and collaboration cross functionally.

Requirements:

• Proven experience at a mid to senior level in the development of Backend systems. Full Stack Engineers with a heavy weighting and passion towards Backend will be considered.

• You must have experience building systems on mobile technology, both iOS and Android that is used by a large number of monthly users.

• You will be a self starter able to navigate the challenges of a globally distributed remote engineering team and business stakeholders. It’s a critical part of the role that you are able to communicate effectively and collaboratively during periods of growth

• It is expected that you have experience working for a strong technology brand with proven culture of engineering excellence

• The primary stack is Node.JS, Typescript and AWS. You’ll need to be very strong in these areas both conceptually and practically, whilst showing ability to pick up new modern tech

• Experience in revenue generating in-app tech is strongly preferred as is the associated understanding of monetization of apps through areas like billing and subscriptions from a Backend perspective. These are through payment providers rather than build in house so familiarity with different providers or in app APIs is very useful
