About the Company

A fast-growing, private equity-focused financial advisory firm backed by $65M in funding (including a recent $45M round in February 2025) is expanding its U.S. presence and looking to hire a Senior Associate to join.

This firm partners with alternative investment managers to deliver sophisticated interest rate and foreign exchange risk solutions for high-stakes, event-driven transactions. With a strong reputation across North America, a client base that includes leading private capital firms, and proprietary technology supporting their advisory services, the company is well-positioned for long-term growth and impact.

If you’re looking to move beyond a traditional banking structure into a more entrepreneurial, client-facing, and high-ownership role, this could be the opportunity for you.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Associate with a background in interest rate or FX derivatives to join a lean and growing team. This role combines technical expertise with client advisory, deal execution, and commercial input.

You’ll advise private equity and alternative asset managers on FX and interest rate hedging strategies tied to major transactions like M&A, refinancings, and cross-border deals.

Key Responsibilities

Event-Driven Transaction Support

  • Lead and execute FX/IR advisory mandates tied to acquisitions, refinancings, and cross-border investments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to private capital clients during deal processes, working across CFOs, deal teams, and external counsel.
  • Structure and deliver hedging strategies with attention to commercial drivers, market timing, and risk appetite.

Client Management & Relationship Development

  • Support long-term client relationships while managing complex, short-term transactional work.
  • Work across private equity, infrastructure, and other alternative asset clients with direct exposure to leadership teams.
  • Collaborate internally with sales, trading, and analytics functions to ensure seamless execution.

Commercial & Strategic Involvement

  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy and help convert prospective clients into active mandates.
  • Assist in developing marketing and pitch materials, tailored to transaction type and client profile.
  • Play an integral role in shaping the firm’s North American growth through high-quality service delivery and business acumen.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Deep understanding of interest rate swaps, FX forwards/options, or capital structure risk.
  • Prior exposure to private equity, infrastructure, or alternative investment managers.
  • Strong execution and communication skills; confident in interfacing with senior client stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated to join a growing, agile team in a hybrid client/technical role.

What’s on Offer

  • Opportunity to advise on complex transactions across top-tier private capital clients.
  • Competitive compensation with bonus upside and long-term career growth.
  • Flat structure, entrepreneurial culture, and real ownership from day one
  • Exposure to leadership and direct client impact
  • Work alongside experts in FX/IR strategy, with access to proprietary risk technology

This role requires at least 2 years of experience in Interest Rates/Foreign Exchange.
