Trade Operations Manager | London (Hybrid)

Are you a proven leader in Investment Operations with a passion for driving performance, empowering teams, and delivering operational excellence? Our client are looking for a dynamic Trade Operations Manage to lead their Trade Operations function and ensure the delivery of efficient, compliant, and high-impact services to our business and stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the Trade Operations team (team of 3), ensuring the function is well-resourced with the right expertise to meet operational goals.
  • Coach and develop talent to strengthen both technical and interpersonal capabilities across the team.
  • Analyse business performance using MI and KPI data to drive continuous improvement and high-impact results.
  • Oversee the delivery of BAU activities, project implementation, and change initiatives while supporting professional development within the team.
  • Produce insightful reports tailored to relevant stakeholders, with clear analysis and recommendations covering risk events, process efficiency, and strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Strong background in Investment Operations, preferably within a corporate or consulting setting.
  • Solid understanding of the trade life cycle, operating models, reconciliations, and financial products (e.g. Fixed Income, FX, Money Market Funds).
  • Exposure to corporate actions, risk and audit frameworks, and change management.
  • Familiarity with derivative markets and regulatory requirements for insurance and investment products.
  • Recognised qualification such as IOC (Investment Operations Certificate); IMC or equivalent desirable.

  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop teams and individuals.
  • Confident in managing upwards and across functions with strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly organised, commercially astute, and delivery-focused.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights and recommendations.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
