Lead Go Engineer | London | Real Time Data Platform

I’m working with a growing fintech firm building a real-time data platform used to ingest, process and distribute financial market data globally.

They need engineers who have built and operated high-throughput systems where latency, concurrency, reliability and scalability are genuine engineering challenges.

You’ll be working on:

  • Designing and building high-performance distributed services in Go.
  • Developing real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines.
  • Improving scalability, resilience and platform performance.
  • Working across event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
  • Contributing to technical direction and engineering best practices within a small, highly capable team.

You’ll need:

  • Strong commercial Go experience.
  • Experience building high-throughput, production-critical distributed systems.
  • A solid understanding of concurrency, performance optimisation and scalability.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging and microservices.
  • A hands-on approach with a passion for solving complex engineering problems.

If you’re an experienced Go engineer looking to tackle complex distributed systems problems in a high-calibre engineering environment, apply here.

At Orbis Group, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. Research indicates that candidates, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, often hesitate to apply for jobs if they don't meet every qualification.

If you're excited about a role but don't perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply. Your unique skills and experiences may be the perfect fit for the job or other opportunities that arise.
