Hiring: Engineering Manager – Remote (UK-based)

Remote-first, with occasional visits to London

Up to £120k base + bonus

A leading global travel platform is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing technical team. You’ll play a pivotal role in building scalable systems, shaping technical direction, and developing engineers while working closely with product and design partners.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned engineering leader with a strong product mindset and a track record of delivering high-quality, customer-facing software at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5–10 engineers across one or more squads
  • Balance product delivery with engineering excellence and robustness
  • Stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture, and technical strategy
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and senior stakeholders
  • Champion Agile best practices and cultivate a healthy engineering culture
  • Drive project delivery, technical planning, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years in software development, including 3+ years managing teams
  • Experience mentoring engineers and owning performance & career planning
  • Proven ability to build scalable, high-performance systems
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration in a product-focused environment
  • Track record of leading major projects in fast-paced settings
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern delivery tooling
