About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys balancing deep technical work with team leadership. In this role, you’ll spend approximately 80% of your time on technical responsibilities—including architecture design, code reviews, and solving complex engineering challenges—and 20% on people management, mentoring, and guiding a small, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions and own critical parts of the tech stack
- Conduct in-depth code reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving
- Lead the development of scalable systems and intelligent infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and design teams to shape and deliver features
- Mentor and grow a small team of engineers, supporting their development
- Foster a strong engineering culture grounded in quality, innovation, and ownership
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in senior or leadership engineering roles at fast-paced startups
- Strong architectural thinking and deep technical expertise
- Comfortable writing and reviewing high-quality code
- Effective communicator and mentor with a collaborative leadership style
- Excited to be a builder—technically hands-on and involved in strategic decisions
