DevOps Manager | Hybrid | AI | Austin, TX | $220,000 Base

A rapidly growing AI company at the forefront of advanced platform engineering is looking for a hands-on DevOps Manager to lead the development and scaling of its core infrastructure systems.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical platform team within a highly technical environment, with direct impact on performance, scalability, and delivery across the organisation’s AI ecosystem.

Why join?

The organisation is solving some of the most challenging infrastructure problems in AI today. With increasing on-premises requirements, growing production demands, and complex orchestration needs, this presents an opportunity to help define infrastructure strategy while remaining deeply technical and hands-on.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and grow a team responsible for core DevOps and platform delivery.
  • Design, implement and maintain scalable Kubernetes-based systems.
  • Take ownership of on-premises infrastructure to drive operational resilience and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Set technical direction and standards across DevOps and infrastructure engineering.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD, observability, and system automation.

What you need:

  • At least five years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Strong experience managing on-premises environments.
  • Deep understanding of Linux-based systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in an engineering environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and product.

What’s on offer:

  • Base salary of $220,000.
  • Hybrid working model based in Austin, TX.
  • High-impact, high-ownership role in a rapidly scaling AI business.
  • The opportunity to shape infrastructure from the ground up in a technical leadership role.

Please note: candidates with fewer than three years of hands-on Kubernetes experience will not be considered.
