About the Role

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer (Senior–Staff) to build and scale core systems powering a high-traffic consumer platform.

This role is heavily focused on Java and distributed systems – ideal for engineers who have built and operated backend services in production at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale backend services using Java in a microservices architecture
• Design distributed systems focused on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction
• Drive best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, and system reliability

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong, hands-on Java experience (core requirement)
• Proven experience building distributed systems at scale
• Startup or high-growth environment experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• $170,000 – $225,000 base + equity + bonus
