Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer

Location: Remote EU

Contract Type: 3-6 month Contract + extensions

Hourly Rate: Flexible depending on experience

Start Date: Asap – Immediately available

I have been retained by one of the world’s largest mapping & navigation companies who are currently seeking an AI Engineer for an initial 3-6 month freelance contract (+ extensions).

They operate one of the world’s most exciting AI functions focussed on building and integrating multi-agent solution POCs all to do with maps and map visualisation. The key goal here is to help them build multi-agent production ready POCs and work closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to ensure agents integrate cleanly with APIs and user interfaces.

Key requirements:

• Strong experience designing and implementing multi-agent AI systems
• Excellent Python skills for agent development, orchestration, and experimentation
• Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures (ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, generation)
• Experience using Azure AI services, such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, or equivalent
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar)
