In light of celebrating International Women’s Day (or should we say, international women’s week here at Orbis) we wanted to shine a spotlight on some incredible Female Founders you should follow and connect with.

Sarah is the Managing Director of Cleo Capital, a fund based in San Francisco. Alongside this, Sarah is also a contributing editor at Marie Claire and has worked on an advisory basis for multi-million brands such as Bumble. The fund focuses on investing between $500k – $1m in pre-seed organisations. 

 

 

Shivani is the Founder of Tala, a FinTech that puts mobile technology and data science at its core. Tala also has a smartphone app that instantly evaluates and understands its customers, providing customised financial services in minutes! Her career trajectory has been incredible, and has been backed by leading investors in the space such as PayPal, Revolution, and was named by Forbes as one of the top 50 FinTech companies in the world.

 

 

Eccie is the Founder of Karma Cans, which is a lunch delivery company. Co-Founding it with her sister in the heart of London, Eccie is focused on creating a brand that puts community and healthy food at its heart! She is also the Founder of Karma Kitchen, its sister company. 

 

 

Christie Horvath is the Founder of Wagmo, a pet wellness plan subscription that makes insurance and access to healthcare for pets, affordable. Wagmo’s wellness and insurance plans empower pet parents to get the care they need for their pets when they need it the most. Christie has an extensive background in Finance, previously working for BlackRock. 

 

 

Assani York is the Founder of For The Gworls, a black, trans-led collective that curates parties to fundraise for black transgender people to pay for their rent, gender-affirming surgeries, and other medical needs. You can follow For The Gworls on Instagram here

 

 

Billie is the Co-Founder of Daylight, which is the first and only digital banking platform in the U.S. specifically designed for and by the LGBT+ community. Daylight brings something incredibly new to the market, and before founding Daylight, Billie had experience in the startup world with one other venture, as well as an extensive background in Software Engineering. 

 

 

Jusnah Gadi is the Founder of Young Music Boss, ​​which is a resource hub and network building tool for young music entrepreneurs and creatives. Based in London, she has had multiple entrepreneurial ventures and has been featured in multiple magazines and online publications for the impact that Young Music Boss has made.

 

 

Bianca Miller Cole is the Founder of Bianca Miller London, an inclusive hosiery brand for women in the heart of London. Alongside this, she is a speaker and published author, and has been featured as an inspiring entrepreneur in a number of magazines.
