Program Manager – Tech Engineering – 12 Month FTC -£120-£140,000 + Bonus – Asset Management

Join a leading Asset Manager as a Project/Program Manager to spearhead complex technical and business programs across multiple teams.

As a Program Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and driving the full project lifecycle. This includes project design, scope management, cost control, and quality and performance reporting. You will use your leadership skills to guide and mentor your team, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
  • Resource Management: Procure and manage project staff, providing coaching and guidance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with functional project teams to define and meet business requirements.
  • Delivery Management: Lead teams of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Define test plans, oversee testing processes, and ensure defect-free products before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate UAT, develop rollout plans, and prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure the use of appropriate systems development and project management processes.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Industry Expertise: Experience in Asset Management, FinTech, or the Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Insight: Ability to make decisions aligned with the broader business strategy of the firm.
  • Technical Leadership: Apply technical expertise to manage complex technology projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP or PMI certification is preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, with a focus on Asset Management.
  • Skills: Strong project management, people management, and team-building skills. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and assess risk.
